St. John’s Mercy Sports & Therapy offers Free Trial with Bioness Wireless Technology for Foot Drop on Nov. 20
St. John’s Mercy Sports & Therapy – Washington, 1713 Heritage Hills, is serving as a evaluation and treatment site for the NESS L300™ neuro-rehabilitation system, a new technology in Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) technology, and is offering patients a free trial on Nov. 20 as well as an individual assessment with a foot drop specialist.
This new physical therapy treatment may help individuals regain mobility and achieve greater independence than they once believed possible.
St. John’s Mercy is among the first in the country to offer the NESS L300™. The devise is user friendly and appropriate for a broad range of conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, incomplete spinal cord injury, other neurological disorders, and foot drop (an inability to turn the ankle and toes upward without feeling pain).
The L300 uses wireless communication to “talk” to its components, eliminating cumbersome wires and allowing the clinician the ability to fine-tune settings while the patient is actually walking.
