Dr. Eric Matlock Joins McAuley Clinic

Dr. Eric Matlock recently joined the McAuley Clinic, where he is working with the Family Medicine team to provide comprehensive medical care to uninsured and underinsured patients. Dr. Matlock was with Mercy Medical Group (MMG), where he has practiced since 2005. Dr. Matlocks’s special interests include Dermatological conditions, minor skin surgeries, weight loss, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHAD) and the treatment of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and asthma. 

 Dr. Matlock lived in nearby Krakow as a child and grew up in Rolla. His parents are Morris and Edith Matlock. Dr. Matlock attended the University of Missouri at Columbia where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1994. After working in the nursing field for four years, he entered medical school, receiving his medical degree in 2002 from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo. Dr. Matlock completed residency training in family medicine in 2005 in Kansas City at the Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center. Upon completing his residency, he became board certified in family medicine and joined MMG.

 Dr. Matlock lives in Washington with his wife Katie and their two daughters. He has been involved in coaching youth athletics and teaching girl scouts. Dr. Matlock has volunteered for the American Red Cross, Midwest Transplant Network, Heart of America Bone Marrow Donor Registry and DOCARE International, a Medical missions organization. He also is a member of the American Medical Association of Family Physicians and served as a delegate to the Missouri State Medical Association
