Emergency Care
  • St. John’s Mercy is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in St. LouisCounty
  • Provides medical direction for six fire/ambulance districts comprising most of West County
Burn Treatment
  • The Burn Center is one of only two specialized facilities in the bi- state area and the largest in Missouri
  • Provides acute burn injury treatment, reconstructive and plastic surgery, and follow-up rehabilitation
Cancer Care
  • David C. Pratt Cancer Center offers an accredited cancer program by the American College of Surgeons
  • The John F. Krey III Cancer Information Center provides health education, cancer screenings, prevention trails sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, support groups, a second opinion panel, massage therapy and lymphedema therapy.

Heart and Vascular Hospital

  • St. John’s Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital provides prevention, education, detection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services.
  • Diagnostic services include stress testing, echocardiography and nuclear testing
  • Offers interventional modalities, including coronary artery stenting, atherectomy, rotoblation, cutting balloons, intravascular ultrasound, and open heart surgery.
  • Electrophysiology lab specializes in diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias and insertion of pacemakers and defibrillators.

Pregnancy and Childbirth
  • More than 8,000 babies born each year
  • About one of every four babies born in St. Louis are born at St. John's Mercy
  • Perinatal Center and Women's Evaluation Unit provides care for women throughout their pregnancy.
  • St. John's Mercy offers the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care
    Unit in St. Louis County.

  • 50 pediatric supspecialists provide care for children with complex conditions
  • St. Louis County's only pediatric intensive care unit provides 24-hour care for critically ill or injured children
  • Pediatric emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day with physicians who specialize in pediatric emergency medicine
